We've raised over $100,000 and the building of the bunkhouse is finished.

In 2012, we began a campaign to to raise funds for an additional building to be built for the purpose of housing the teams, volunteers, and medical professionals who wish to come alongside the Jesus Christ and Gideons in Action Foundation Children's Home in Pereira, Colombia.

Our mission through this outreach project is to make a long term impact at the children's home in Pereira by partnering in the amazing work that God is doing through this ministry, home to many children of all ages.  The home's staff and leadership do an incredible job caring for the kids' needs, both physical and spiritual!  However, they rely heavily on the generous giving and servant hearts of volunteer missions teams and ministries from all over the US, Europe and even local churches in Colombia.

Housing these volunteers has presented a problem..."we need their help, but we have no place for them to stay longer than just a few days."  Hence, the Bunkhouse Project.  Now the home has a dedicated facility to comfortably house 48 adults, allowing them to minister consistently and regularly throughout the year without taking precious living space from the children.

Long Term Vision

Over the last 20 years or so, CLC has made a lasting connection with this particular children's home in Colombia.  Our long term goal is to have a lasting presence there and support the leadership in any way we can.  That includes sending missions teams to help care for the kids and do children's ministry programs, as well as sending qualified skilled professionals to help teach older children useful trades.  It's our heart make a lasting impact on these children, beyond just one trip or one building.  We want to see God's hand move into the future there.
